My Unit is faulty and need to be repaired. How can I do this?

Australia Repair Process

The warranty period on all Magellan products is a one year manufacturers repair warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers all faults except for damage to the unit caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.

You must backup all data from your unit prior to sending the unit to us for repair and have obtained a RMA number before sending the unit to us. We cannot be held liable for data that is lost during the repair process.

Units received without an RMA number will be placed in Quarantine and that will increase the repair time significantly.

You are required to contact Magellan as soon as possible to report a fault with your unit.

You can contact us on 1800 644 033 to book your unit in for repair and obtain an RMA number.

To help us out, please have the following information ready before you call us:

Model: What type of Magellan do you have?
Date of Purchase: When did you purchase your Magellan?
Detailed description of the fault: What seems to be the fault/problem with your Magellan?
Serial Number: What is your Magellans serial number?

Once you have an RMA number, you need to send your unit with all required accessories to the following address:

Please ensure that the RMA number is written on the outside of the box and that a copy of your receipt is included with the unit with the RMA number written on the top of it.

Please note that if your unit is sent in without an RMA number it will be returned to sender or placed in quarantine which will add an additional 2 weeks to the repair time

Magellan suggest that you send your unit in via registered post so that the item can be tracked. Magellan is not liable if an item is lost or damaged in transit to us.

How to track your repair

Magellan will repair your unit and return it to you. You can track the status of your repair below.

Please ensure that you send the unit via registered post so that the delivery of the item to Magellan can be tracked. Please include the RMA number and a copy of your receipt with the faulty unit.

Return of repaired unit

Magellan will return your repaired unit via courier. You will be required to sign for the delivery of your repaired item.
